Social City Academy

In Zeiten von Demokratie- und Wissenschaftsskepsis ist unser Ziel die Stärkung & Sicherung des Wissenschaftsstandortes Österreich. Aufgrund dessen wird nationale & internationale Expertise in der Social City Academy durch ein proaktives Wissenschaftsnetzwerk gebündelt. Unsere Bestrebungen fußen auf den Werten des Digitalen Humanismus. Zudem wurde Wien als "European Capital of Democracy 2024/25" gewählt.

Der Anspruch der Plattform für Wissenschaftskommunikation ist, die breite Erreichung von Gesellschaften durch eine dialogorientierte Kommunikation über Wissenschaft, Technologie und Forschung.

Der Fokus liegt auf der ganzheitlichen Gestaltung und Etablierung von Dialogveranstaltungen sowie "Capacity & Awareness Building" für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Bildung. Aufgrund der rasanten Entwicklung von Künstlicher Intelligenz ist Medienbildung ein weiterer Schwerpunkt.

Die Initiativen der Social City Wien richten sich entlang der Vision, die Werte der Demokratie durch innovative, junge und frische Ideen zu stärken. Die Einführung einer zukunftsorientierten Wissenschaftskommunikationsplattform ist für die Social City Wien von zentraler Bedeutung, da dies unserem Leitbild – wissenschaftliche, soziale und gesellschaftliche Innovationsprojekte zu entwickeln – entspricht. In einer Zeit, in der die Wissenschaft und Technologie rasant voranschreiten, ist der Austausch von fundiertem Wissen und Ideen entscheidend für nachhaltige Wirksamkeit.

In times of democratic and scientific skepticism, our goal is to strengthen and secure Austria as a science location. For this reason, national and international expertise is bundled in the Social City Academy through a proactive science network. Our efforts are based on the values of digital humanism. In addition Vienna was also selected as the "European Capital of Democracy 2024/25".

The aim of the platform for science communication is to reach a wide range of societies through dialog-oriented communication about science, technology and research.

The focus is on the holistic design and establishment of dialog events as well as capacity and awareness building for science, research and education. Due to the rapid development of artificial intelligence, media education is another focus.

The initiatives of Social City Wien are aligned with the vision of strengthening the values of democracy through innovative, young and fresh ideas. The introduction of a future-oriented science communication platform is of central importance for Social City Vienna, as this corresponds to our mission statement - to develop scientific, social and societal innovation projects. At a time when science and technology are advancing rapidly, the exchange of sound knowledge and ideas is crucial for sustainable effectiveness.
